Its very strange coming back to see deviantart after such a long time, its like looking at yourself in the past. Some of the photos on here get the memories flowing hard, so many things have happened since good and bad, disappointments and pleasant surprises. Going back to some of my earliest photos it is amazing to see how you progress and change, where you experiment and fail, but overall I really enjoy what I see. Many of my old deviantFriends and watchers have closed their accounts and went elsewhere, but I will not follow them. Even though I haven't uploaded anything in quite some time, and have gone through a lot of things lately, I will continue to keep my account open. Yeah I have my own portfolio but, there is something that I like about dA, that you don't really get on any of the other "art" sites, and that is its community, I like that all the arts are mixed together and the amateurs stand next to their more experienced friends, I liked just browsing through the huge amount of work (some awful and some great

) and getting ideas and inspiration or just talking to the other people. I still think that it is the most objective art community on the internet and have been sad to see that it has lost some of its popularity. The biggest area in which dA could have held on to the professionals is in its print sales mechanism, which in my opinion was badly managed and frankly a bit of a ripoff towards the artists. Had they polished it and made it the easiest and most respectful art buying system, we would all still be here and making money out of the things we love.
I hope that the people that are still here are enjoying it and doing good work, I myself have branched from film and photography into game development in the UK. We'll see how that goes

. See you all around!
